Our model battery (2 MW, 4 MWh, RTE 0.86, DoD 100%), optimised on DA + IDC markets, generated 69.9 kPLN in revenue.
January 2026 turned out to be the strongest January in the history of our analysis.
📊 For comparison - relative January (January 2026 = 1.00) performance over the years:
- January 2023 → 0.57
- January 2024 → 0.27
- January 2025 → 0.58
📈 This result is unusual, as winter months typically feature lower price volatility and therefore lower revenue potential for BESS. This time was different, driven in part by:
- unusually low temperatures,
- high volatility in the gas market, which translated into the power market.
